The demise of Rohith Vemula has sparked more controversy and right now it has been a huge public uproar among students and media. On one side, politicians are visiting students and they blame the ruling government. Another side, the political parties ignore the protests and they keep a muted response.

Yesterday more than hundreds of Students from various universities joined the protests. Students from Osmania University joined the UoH students. And in memory of Rohith Vemula, Dalit ideologue Kancha Ilaiah administered a pledge to hundreds of students.

The pledged was about the needs of every Dalit, tribal, OBC and minority. The pledge read as, "Rohith Vemula left ys. We will take this to every house. We must take a vow that every child in India hailing from the downtrodden community must master English."

The protests are still in full fierce. Seven students continue the indefinite hunger strike for the third consecutive day. Vice Chancellor Appa Rao is still not sacked as per the demands and the ruling government keeps muted response.
