As holidays have come for many, the devotees at Tirumala Devastanam Temple have faced shortage of rooms on account of summer rush which has picked up for the past three days. Many devotees have come to Tirumala as many had holidays for three days from Fridays till Sunday.
To get accommodation many devotees had waited for quite long hours. The intense summer heat has created many problems of the devotees. There was a long queue which was waiting before the central reception office at Tirumala.
Long queue was also found near MB cottage, Kausthubham and near Padmavathi Guest House. The Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam (TTD) manages around 7000 rooms at Tirumala. Nearly 1,500 rooms were allotted online. They have booked tickets online before the commencement of the holidays.
A devotee named Chandrasekar has said they have reached Tirumala in the early morning and they were waiting for four hour and they didn’t get room at all. On Saturday nearly 60,000 devotees have visited Tirumala. For general darshan one has to wait for 12 hours. The TTD has cancelled the break darshan for two days due to heavy rush and only VIP got the facility.
