The polling for the Kakinada Municipal Corporation is today,immediately after Nandyal results.The polling began at 7 AM on Tuesday.It was a tense and tight situation prevailing therein several places.Both the ruling TDP and opposition YSR Congress party were involved in violent clashes at several places.
Nearly 2.80 lakh voters are expected to cast their votes and the vote casting will take place in 192 polling stations .Out of 195 a 35 among them are considered to be very sensitive and are prone to clashes so the police have beefed up the security in those places
The TDP-BJP duo and YSRCP solo are contesting in 48 divisions,the Congress party in 17 divisions while the rest CPI and CPM are fielded their candidates in four divisions each.
Police have beefed up tight security arrangements to prevent violent clashes .
