Citizenship Amendment Act bill has successfully passed in two houses of parliament last week. Having more than 2/3 rd majority in lok sabha, bjp managed to pass the CAB without any constraints. Even former nda ally shiv sena too agreed for CAB bill though it divided from BJP. trs President kcr took right decision on CAB and his party voted against Citizenship Amendment Bill in two houses.
trs and bjp have maintained secret political friendship in telangana state. Situation has changed after 2019 General elections in the state. BJP’s victory of 4 parliament segments feel discomfort political situation for trs in the state. trs has start attacking after General Elections. Two days back, ktr lashes bjp hadn’t co-operated for the development of the state. trs voted against CAB wasn’t surprised many.
It is obvious for ruling party not to go against majority Muslim population in the state. Muslim population has 14.2% of total population in the country and in telangana has 12% population which played vital role in the elections. trs could not dare to go against the Muslim Minority population which backed kcr since two elections. In ap, it is hardly 4% of the Muslim population voted to ysrcp in two elections. But ysrcp voted for CAB bill that gave shock to Muslim Minority voters.
