The movement for Telangana statehood assumed greater proportions after 2009 with various groups joining the fray and vowing never to leave the war path until separate statehood is granted and eventually this dream was achieved. Among the stalwarts, who lead this movement, KCR and Kodandaram were undoubtedly at the forefront.
Kodandaram
They were united in all ways but while KCR focused on political ways, Kodandaram took up the path of mass public agitations by bringing various sections under one roof. KCR and professor Kodandaram were seen initially together, but after Million March in the fag end of 2011, both differed on many aspects.
This differences broadened and finally both were unable to see eye to eye though they never washed dirty linen in public due to the prestige issue for the statehood movement. After formation of separate state too, it was said that KCR refused appointment for the professor while the professor also started attacking the government on many fronts.
Kodandaram called KCR
Recently, Kodandaram called on KCR at his camp office and on the pretext of inviting KCR for his son’s wedding, sources say that both of them spoke their hearts out and the grapevine is that a big time patch up was indeed accomplished. If it is true, then it is a big news for common friends and well wishers of both leaders.
