Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin yesterday (January 9, 2026) distributed bank loan linkages to women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) during the ‘Ungal Kanavai Sollungal’ (Share Your Dream) program held at the YMCA Grounds, Royapettah, Chennai.

The event was organized as part of the state government’s initiative to empower citizens by understanding their aspirations and supporting their economic growth. By providing bank loan linkages to women SHGs, the deputy chief minister reinforced the government’s commitment to women empowerment, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic development.

The program was attended by Health minister Ma. Subramanian, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments minister P.K. Sekarbabu, Greater chennai Corporation Mayor R. Priya, and several Members of the Legislative Assembly, including Thayagam Kavi, R.D. Sekar, Th. Velu, E. Paranthaman, Dr. N. Ezhilan, R. Murthy, A. Vetri Azhagan, and Joseph Samuel.

Senior officials and representatives from various departments were also present, underscoring the collaborative effort behind the initiative. The distribution of bank loan linkages was welcomed by beneficiaries, who expressed appreciation for the government’s continued support toward financial inclusion and livelihood development.
