Closure of all Tasmac bars in tamil Nadu..?!

Chennai high court has issued an order to close all the bars attached to Tasmac liquor stores in tamil Nadu. Judge Saravanan said that only the Commissioner of Excise has the power to license bars and only sell liquor in Tasmac stores, but not directly or indirectly by Tasmac management. Following this, the judge ruled that the practice of improving the location near the Tasmac store and setting up a bar could not be allowed which incurred severe loss due to covid-19.
He also added that the right to sell edibles and collect the used water bottles to many private parties cannot be legitimized under the Rule of tamil Nadu Liquor Vending Rules and TASMAC which has no authority to encourage alcohol consumption in a public place or Bar making them auction for highest bidders.
Further, the chennai high court dismissed the case filed by the Tasmac management against the tender for issuing the Tasmac bar license and ordered the closure of all Tasmac bars in tamil Nadu within 6 months. Therefore, the court has announced to close the bars attached to the Tasmac shops where the license was issued to a small group of bidders for 6 months period.
