In this regard, he advised that the officials belonging to various departments of the government should make arrangements for the availability of certain types of grocery items, including vegetables, in all cooperative society shops and fair price shops, at less than the market price, and if necessary, procurement can be done through the tamil Nadu Consumer Goods Trading Corporation and Co-operative Societies.


At the same time, he asked to strictly monitor the hoarding of essential commodities and take appropriate action, and the Civil Supply Crime Investigation Department to pay more attention to it. He also directed to take necessary steps under the Essential Commodities Act. He also asked the agriculture department officers to pay special attention to increasing the sale of vegetables in farmers' markets all over Tamilnadu. He also advised to start of mobile vegetable shops through the corporation and horticulture department where necessary as was implemented during the Kovid period.


During this inspection meeting, additional tomatoes and small onions will be purchased and sold through the farm green shops operating across the state, and appropriate steps will be taken to sell Thuram dal and urad dal at lower than market prices through cooperative supermarkets as a measure to control market prices.


The sale of tomatoes will be expanded through 300 fair-price shops, vegetables will be sold in urban areas through mobile vegetable shops, and steps will be taken to sell vegetables including tomatoes and small onions in large quantities in farmer's markets operating across the state for the benefit of farmers and consumers, the stock details of duvaram dal and alundum dal will be monitored regularly. , said that appropriate action would be taken against the hoarders under the Essential Commodities Act, and officials from the Department of Co-operatives, Food and Consumer Protection and Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare said.
