Standing up to one of the worst floods it has ever experienced, telangana on friday stepped up rescue and relief efforts in flood-affected districts, mobilising the entire government apparatus, even as rain continued to fall in some areas of the State and flood waters started to recede in others.

Eight deaths were confirmed in Mulugu, one of the hardest-hit regions, on friday, while four persons who were washed away on thursday remain unaccounted for. While other flood victims were being relocated, women and Child Welfare minister Satyavati Rathod confirmed eight deaths and said rescue attempts were ongoing. In the district, 27 relief facilities were established.

People who are trapped in flooded areas are being given supplies by a helicopter on the job. There have reportedly been 20 flood-related deaths and/or reported missing persons. In addition to the eight deaths found on friday, three bodies were found on thursday evening.

While Moranchapalle remained marooned, 80 people were stuck in the Kondai village in the Eturnagaram Mandal. A compensation of Rs. 4 lakh would be paid to the family of the deceased, while those who incurred losses would receive an immediate relief of Rs. 25,000, according to the minister, who also said that NDRF troops were involved in search and rescue efforts in these regions.

There are 82 submerged colonies in the Greater warangal Municipal Corporation region. There is excess water in large lakes like Pakhal, Laknavaram, and Ramappa. rail services were also hampered by the accident since on thursday, rails at the railway stations in Kazipet and warangal were inundated. However, since late thursday night, train service has resumed.

A 35-year-old man swept away while attempting to save a youngster who had fallen into a waterbody near Thumpelli in Asifabad, according to reports of other flood-related tragedies that occurred on Friday. Both have not yet been found. The flooding and record rainfall from last week's storms are thought to have caused the most damage ever. The worst damage was done by the unprecedented flash floods that occurred on thursday in various locations. The canal network and the road communication network, which includes national roads at 11 locations, have taken the brunt of the rain's wrath, according to officials who are already analysing the damage.

In 168 locations, state highways were damaged by flooding and severe rains, which disrupted traffic. As a result of flash floods, state roadways developed breaches in 27 different locations. 141 locations on highways were impacted by swollen streams and rivers. A lot of harm has reportedly been done to agricultural fields when early planting was done.

While the nizam sagar reported inflows of 45,000 cusecs and the Sriramsagar Project received 2.58 lakh cusecs, the State's projects continued to receive enormous inflows.

There were inflows of 1.04 lakh cusecs into the Kaddam Project, which escaped a breach scare on thursday, and 9.07 lakh cusecs into the Sripada yellampalli Project.
