The acb team raided the Income Tax office located at Hospital Chowk of Biharsharif headquarters till late night on Thursday
(August 17). When about ten people suddenly entered the Income Tax office one by one, there was chaos at that time.
Without telling anything to the guard posted in the Income Tax Department, these people directly entered the chamber of
ITO. Later it came to know that the acb team has reached to conduct the raid.
Officer was taking Rs 10,000 as bribe
On the other hand, as soon as the personnel of this office got a clue that there is a team of acb, the personnel left the office.
An officer of the team told that a complaint was made by Vijendra prasad of Ekangarsarai in the district for demanding bribe.
On this complaint, the acb team reached bihar Sharif. After verification of the complaint, the acb team arrested ITO
dharmendra Kumar, posted in the Income Tax office, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs.10,000.
The team kept raiding for six to seven hours
The acb team reached in the evening. At the time when the officials of the team reached the office, the complainant was
present in the chamber of the ITO. However, the team official refrained from speaking on camera. The acb team stayed in
the Income Tax office for about six to seven hours. At the same time, many documents and computers of ITO Dharmendra
Kumar were searched. The acb team went to patna taking both ITO dharmendra Kumar and complainant Vijender Kumar
along with them.
