The Moosarambagh Bridge in the city returned to traffic on both sides on wednesday after a temporary shutdown owing to increasing water levels. As the water level in the musi river rose, the hyderabad Traffic police made the decision to close the Moosarambagh Bridge. The action was taken as a preventative measure to avoid probable flooding in low-lying regions along the river.

Earlier, Starting at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the Moosarambagh Bridge will be temporarily closed due to the rising water levels in the Musi River. The choice was made when the Osman Sagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs released about 6,000 cusecs of water into the Musi River. In addition to announcing the shutdown, Special Chief Secretary for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Arvind Kumar said, "We will review the situation on Wednesday." The bridge has been reopened since things are better now.

As mentioned before, the decision to temporarily block the Moosarambagh Bridge was made to guard against any potential flooding in the low-lying districts along the Musi River.
