Over 150 people traveled on a "padayatra" from Erravelli village to Yadagirigutta in order to pray for chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's win in Gajwel and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to maintain power in telangana for a third straight term.

They began their yatra on wednesday at 11 a.m. They walked 40 km in the rain that day, arriving at the yadadri temple at 6.30 p.m. Even though it rained continuously throughout the course all day wednesday, the crew managed to finish the walkathon on time. The crew stopped at eight temples along the way to pray. They also decorated Dr. BR Ambedkar's statue.

"Malli Sare Kavali, Care Ravali" (we need kcr again, the automobile should regain power) was one of their rallying cries along the way. Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) chairman balaraju said in an interview with telangana Today that the Gajwel constituency has changed over the course of the previous nine years under the leadership of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. By giving necessary amenities, the chief minister transformed Erravelli into a model community. He said, "The entire community had chosen to go on the padayatra to pray for Rao's win from Gajwel with a wide margin as well as for the victory of BRS in telangana since they wished to continue the development effort further.

MPP (Markook) Pandu Goud, DCCB director Anji reddy, and MLC Dr. V. Yadava reddy all took part in the rally after it was flagged off as a show of support. Vanteru Prathapa reddy, chairman of the Forest Development Corporation, joined them in the middle of the walkathon and walked with them for a few km. In honour of the chief minister, the team conducted special prayers at yadadri Temple and eight other temples. The yatra was headed by BRS leaders Bikshapathi, Kanakaiah, Krishna, and venkat Reddy.
