After using google Maps to get there, a truck driver on his way to Husnabad ended himself in a water reservoir. The driver got into difficulties by driving into the water until the car stopped using google Maps, which is utilized by practically everyone else. Due to their lack of familiarity with the local roads, the driver, Shiva, and his cleaner, Mondaiah, chose to utilize the app to direct them to Husnabad.
But about two in the morning, the two ended up in the Gauravelli project's backwaters near Gudatipalli in Akkannapet Mandal. The maps were used to assist them in navigating through Nandaram. Despite the fact that there were stoppers in place to guide cars from the backwater to a bypass road, the two followed the directions provided by the GPS app.

The two entered the water due to poor sight, thinking it was a "watery lane" or water stagnation brought on by the recent heavy rains. The truck subsequently got to a point when water began pouring into the truck's cabin, and the truck eventually came to a stop. As soon as the pair understood they were in danger in the middle of the ocean, they were compelled to swim to safety and ask for help from the inhabitants in Gouravelly hamlet.

The former route to Husnabad through Gudatipally and Gouravelly was flooded due to the building of the Gouravelly reservoir as part of the kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS). To reroute traffic, a new road has been created downstream of the reservoir. google Maps, however, unintentionally sent them onto the ancient, flooded road. They were able to use a JCB the next day to pull their car out of the water with community assistance after its engine failed.
