Environment minister Gopal Rai said that in view of Delhi’s pollution, campaigns have been started on a war


footing, in which plans have been made with the people of delhi to stop all types of pollution. Our

government has worked to eliminate every source of pollution in Delhi.

Gopal Rai further said that since the formation of the government, there has been a 42% decline in PM 10

and 46% decline in PM 2.5. The most dangerous days in terms of pollution, which used to be 26 in 2016,

were only 6 last year. Gopal Rai further said that the government has decided to make a winter action plan to

control winter pollution. We discussed with experts and had a joint meeting with officials of 28 departments

on Thursday.

Winter plan will be made to stop pollution

Gopal Rai said that 15 points have been identified in this meeting and all departments have been asked to

submit their plans by september 25. 13 separate teams have been formed for 13 hot spots and different plans

have been sought from them, which have identified 15 points. These include hot spots, stubble pollution,

vehicle pollution, open garbage burning, industrial pollution, green war room, real time apportionment

study, complete ban on firecrackers, tree plantation, urban farming, eco waste park, public awareness,

communication with center and neighboring states. And GRAP has to be implemented. For this,

responsibility has been given to different departments at all points.
