Narendra Tomar, jyotiraditya scindia, Virendra Khatik, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Prahlad patel are ministers
in the Modi cabinet from madhya pradesh quota. The party has fielded three ministers narendra Singh
Tomar, Fagan Kulaste and Prahlad patel in the second list. Now questions are being raised about Virendra
Khatik and Jyotiraditya Scindia. Will the party field these two also? If jyotiraditya scindia contests the
elections, it will be the first time that he will contest an assembly election.
Virendra Khatik has also been a lok sabha mp continuously since 1996. On Khatik, the party can contest
elections from any seat of Tikamgarh. bjp has also fielded 3 MPs. uday Pratap Singh from Gadarwara,
Rakesh Singh from jabalpur and Reeti Pathak from Sidhi have been made candidates.
In such a situation, there is speculation that many MPs will also contest the assembly elections. Among
these, the names of bhopal mp Pragya Thakur, indore mp shankar Lalwani, Ratlam mp Guman Singh
Damor are prominent. Damor has been a member of the Legislative assembly earlier also.
Will Kulaste, Tomar and patel resign?
According to constitutional provisions, lok sabha MPs can contest assembly elections, but the questions are
about three Union ministers. bjp has fielded narendra Tomar, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Prahlad patel in the
elections. All three are powerful ministers in the Modi government.
Due to the legislative contest between the three, the functioning of the cabinet may also be affected. Also, if
a Union minister contests elections, the administration will have to follow many heavy protocols including
security. The opposition has made it a big issue. madhya pradesh congress spokesperson Nitin Dubey says-
Code of conduct in assembly elections is imposed only in electoral states. In such a situation, the Union
Minister does not have a power fridge. If he contests elections while being a minister, he may misuse power.
Therefore he should resign before the elections.
