On one hand, opposition parties have formed india Alliance to take on bjp in the lok sabha elections. With its
help, a strategy for victory in the 2024 lok sabha elections is being prepared. On the other hand, there are frequent
reports of lumps in this alliance before the elections. Nothing is going right in punjab between Aam Aadmi Party
and congress, which are part of the I.N.D.I.A alliance. Despite the best efforts of the high command, Punjab
Congress does not want an alliance with AAP under any circumstances. In the meeting held in delhi on
Wednesday, punjab congress has also given the reason for not forming an alliance.
Apart from the punjab congress leadership, senior leaders and MPs also participated in the congress meeting held
in delhi on Wednesday. The purpose of this meeting was to take opinion from the leaders of punjab whether to
form an alliance with AAP for the lok sabha elections or not? On this, punjab congress said that they will not
compromise with the ruling aam aadmi party in the lok sabha elections and said that they fear that this may lead
to loss of the party's vote bank and after the elections, there is no guarantee that the lost vote bank will be brought
back. Apart from punjab congress President amarinder singh Raja Wadding, senior leader Pratap Singh Bajwa
and party's working president Bharat bhushan Ashu were also present in this meeting.
Different opinions of MPs and senior leaders
A large section of MPs want an alliance between the two parties. Whereas punjab congress leaders said that Aam
Aadmi party is running the government in Punjab. The party had got 72 percent vote share in the 2022 elections,
but in the Sangrur lok sabha by-election, AAP's vote reached 50 percent. After this it was seen that AAP's vote
percentage in jalandhar by-election reached 34. Whereas the voting percentage of congress has increased by 15
percent to 28 percent.
