Accordingly a meeting of the Prayagraj Fair Authority Board was organized for the preparation of Mahakumbh 2025 to be held in Prayagraj next year. This meeting took place in the gandhi Auditorium located in the Commissioner's office. Many important decisions were taken in the board meeting. Kitchen will be operated continuously for the devotees in the fair area every day. A community kitchen with a capacity of 5000 devotees will be operated. Two food distribution centers will also be established.
Reportedly there is a proposal to provide breakfast for Rs 5 and lunch for Rs 10 at subsidized rates through the kitchen. The income and expenditure will be thoroughly reviewed while funding the feasibility gap of the proposal. 3000 sanitation workers and registered sailors of the fair will be benefited from the Swachh Kumbh Fund. Their families will be provided benefits of various schemes. The benefits of Pradhan Mantri jeevan Jyoti Bima Nigam, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, chief minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan, Kanya Sumangala Yojana, education incentive scheme and Shram yogi Maandhan Yojana will be provided to the girls of sanitation workers and sailors. The Commissioner has also given instructions to take steps to prevent duplication in schemes.
Under the Solid Waste Management Act, provision of spot fine will be made to prevent garbage, sanitary waste etc. in the fair area. Fine will be charged on shopkeepers and other people who litter the fair area. A fine of Rs 200 will be imposed on street vendors who do not use garbage containers. A fine of Rs 200 will be imposed on shops running without license and without garbage containers.
