Security arrangements have been made at the Tikri border before the proposed delhi Chalo march of the protesting farmers. The police took this step a day after the protesting farmers rejected the Centre's proposal to purchase pulses, maize and cotton crops through government agencies at the minimum support price for five years.

United Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha are leading the 'Delhi Chalo' march. In such a situation, two border routes between delhi and haryana – Tikri and Singhu were sealed with heavy deployment of police personnel.

Several tiers of barricades made of concrete and iron nails have been installed there. Two lanes of Ghazipur border have also been closed. An official said that if necessary, Ghazipur border can also be closed on Wednesday. Before the farmers' delhi Chalo march, delhi Traffic police has also issued an advisory for the passengers. In this, due to special traffic arrangements, it has been asked to avoid going on many roads in the central parts of the national capital.
