In view of the lok sabha elections, collector of indore district of madhya pradesh Ashish Singh has issued restrictive orders. Under his order, he has completely banned organizing protests, demonstrations, rallies, processions etc. without permission. Under the DM's order, it has also been made mandatory to take permission before using loudspeakers. indore collector has said in his order, 'Demonstrations, dharnas, rallies, processions etc. of various organizations on various issues will not be organized without taking prior permission from the competent authority. Loudspeakers are not allowed to be used by anyone without the permission of the competent authority subject to the conditions contained therein.

There is a ban on their use

There is a ban on possession and display of any type of weapon in rallies, processions etc. Construction of pandals etc. without permission, broadcasting messages against rules on electronic resources like mobile, computer, posters and other social media, message forwarding, communal comments, gathering of 5 or more people at one place at a time are also under the ban.

Terms of ban also apply on social media

Objectionable messages, photos, comments, banners, posters etc. will not be uploaded even on social media. Any person, group, organization or group administrator or any other social media electronic resource like mobile, computer, Facebook, e-mail, whatsapp and other types of communication means against any party, religion, caste, sect, organization, individual and common people. Will not upload content to incite sentiments and against law and order. Doing so will be considered a crime. According to the DM's order, 'No person, group, organization or other public places will carry any kind of sharp or other weapon, firearm, hockey stick, rod etc. Nor will it be misused and displayed. Aerial fire will be prohibited in any kind of festival or celebration.
