It is noteworthy that only 100 policemen were engaged in security for the gathering of so many people.On the other hand, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanichamy participated in the general election campaign meeting held at mayiladuthurai Chinnakadai Road in support of AIADMK candidate Babu for mayiladuthurai Parliamentary Constituency. More than 10,000 AIADMK and allied party executives and volunteers from six assembly constituencies including mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Bhoombukar, Kumbakonam, Papanasam, and Thiruvidaimarudur participated in this meeting. Also, to welcome AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palanichami, AIADMK organized banana trees and red sugarcane on both sides of the road as decorations and gave an enthusiastic welcome with the sound of bells.
After Edappadi Palanichamy finished his talk, he went to attend the public meeting to be held in Tiruvarur district.
