Soon after the announcement of tickets in Himachal, senior party leaders including former chief minister Jai ram Thakur, state party president rajeev Bindal, and by-election candidate Rajinder Rana reached prem Kumar Dhumal's native village Sameerpur to seek his blessings. Ranjit Singh from Sujanpur, maya Sharma from Badsar, former minister Varinder Kanwar from Kutlahar, and Rajesh Thakur from Gagret are angry over not getting tickets. Ranjit Singh, who lost to Rajinder Rana by 399 votes in the 2022 assembly elections, has decided to contest the elections as an independent.
What did Dhumal say about cm Sukhu's allegations?
On Himachal cm Sukhwinder Sukhu's allegation that congress rebels have sold their souls, bjp leader prem Kumar Dhumal said that some rebels have already sent a legal notice for defamation. When asked whether giving Rs 1,500 per month to women will help Congress? Former cm Dhumal said that this amount has been given. It has been given only in Lahaul and Spiti districts, while bjp has given 50 percent reservation in panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies and 33 percent reservation in lok sabha and state assemblies.
