After inspecting for about 2 hours, while talking exclusively to ABP news, delhi Government's Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that prime minister Modi promised the people of delhi that just like the disaster was removed, the mountains of garbage will be removed and you can be assured that all the mountains of garbage in delhi will be removed before the year 2030.
After seeing the garbage disposal system at the Ghazipur landfill site, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the Ghazipur landfill site is a 70-acre landfill and 84 lakh metric tons of garbage is lying in it, so today he told the MCD officers that in the next 6 months, 7 to 8 metric tons of garbage should be processed every day. Till now only 14 to 15 lakh metric tons of garbage has been removed from this landfill site. In such a situation, it will take 6 to 7 years to remove all the garbage. In such a situation, today according to Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, he has ordered that the company which has taken the contract should reach its capacity of disposing 8 thousand metric tons of garbage every day in 4 to 5 months, which it had promised, otherwise a fine will be imposed.
Along with this, Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also ordered the officials to employ two companies instead of one for garbage disposal at Ghazipur landfill site and arrange for tender in 4 to 5 months and start the work so that the mountains of garbage in delhi can be completely eliminated in the next 4 to 5 years.
Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said in a conversation with ABP news that from now on, the delhi government will monitor the disposal of garbage daily through a dashboard so that the amount of garbage being disposed every day can be monitored. Talking to ABP news, Environment minister Sirsa said that we promise that in the next 5 years we will eliminate the garbage mountains just like the dinosaurs were eliminated.
