The delhi government has taken a big decision. The delhi school Fees Act was approved in the cabinet meeting on tuesday (April 29). cm rekha Gupta said that the cabinet has passed a bill regarding fees in all the schools of Delhi. Such a bill is being brought which will give relief to the parents. She said that till date the previous government has not made any provision to prevent school fees from increasing in Delhi. A new guideline will be issued regarding 1677 schools of Delhi.

cm rekha Gupta said that the issue was going on between parents, school and students for many days. The issue was coming to the fore through different steps taken by the school administration. We sent our officials to the school. DM was sent to the school who submitted his full report regarding the increase in fees in schools.

A three-tier committee was formed

delhi education Minister ashish Sood said that the name of the bill is delhi school education Transparency in Fixation and Regulation 2025. Whether the fees will increase or not, everything will be transparent. He said that in the previous bill, there was no restriction of any kind on increasing the fees. In this bill, the work of implementing this bill was done by forming a three-tier committee.

Fine up to 10 lakhs

The education Minister said, "First a committee will be formed at the school level which will be 10-member. parents will also be included in it. This committee will decide whether the fees will increase or not. The committee will be formed on July 31, which will submit the report in 30 days. If the report is not given or consensus is not reached, then the district level committee will hear them. If there is no consensus here as well, then the state level committee will take the decision. The school which will increase the fees without the decision of the committee, can be fined from one lakh to 10 lakhs and the school's registration can also be cancelled." If any child is made to sit outside the school, a fine of Rs 50,000 per child per day will be imposed.
