After the pahalgam attack, Maharashtra's opposition party shiv sena UBT has been continuously demanding retaliation from the central government. While on one hand PM Modi is continuously holding meetings with the army chiefs, on the other hand shiv sena (UBT) has launched a scathing attack on prime minister Narendra Modi and the central government and raised the question whether there will really be a war between india and Pakistan?
This question was raised when prime minister Modi suddenly announced a caste-based census, which completely changed the direction of the discussion about the war against Pakistan. shiv sena UBT alleges that this step was merely a part of a political strategy, which fueled religious controversies and made caste-based discussions prominent.
Decision of caste census to divert attention from the talk of war- Sanjay Raut
In an editorial in shiv sena (UBT) mouthpiece Saamana, sanjay raut wrote, "When the possibility of Indo-Pak war was being discussed, at the same time prime minister Modi announced the decision of caste census. This completely changed the way of discussion of war. Now people are talking about caste instead of religion and this is a part of BJP's politics." He said that the atmosphere created by Modi for war has now been diverted towards casteism for political gains.
bihar chosen to threaten Pakistan- Sanjay Raut
Raut alleged that Modi chose the land of bihar to warn Pakistan. However, no strict action was taken against pakistan after the pahalgam attack. Instead, Modi reached bihar for election campaign, even though anger had spread in the country. Raut also raised the question that the prime minister should have stayed in delhi and participated in the all-party meeting, instead of being busy in campaigning.
Apart from this, he also questioned why no concrete action is being taken against the terrorists sent by pakistan, while Pakistani military officials are shown 'trembling'. Raut termed this as the failure of the ruling bjp and said that in times of war, the country should unite and face the truth, but the bjp is indulging in the politics of hatred.
