According to news agency PTI, people familiar with the matter said that India's top military officials are keeping a close watch on this operation. In a high-level meeting with top defense officials on april 29, prime minister Modi had discussed the pahalgam terror attack. The armed forces were given full freedom to decide the method, target and timing of the response. Modi also stressed on the national resolve to give a befitting blow to terrorism. On the other hand, on the launch of 'Operation Sindoor' by the indian armed forces, the spokesperson of the US State Department said, "We are aware of the reports. However, we do not have any assessment at this time. We are closely monitoring the developments."
