chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a cabinet meeting on tuesday (June 3). During this, he said that the Pachmarhi Sanctuary will now be known as raja Bhabhut Singh Pachmarhi Sanctuary. It is dedicated to raja Bhabhut Singh's love for the environment and his lifelong tireless efforts to protect Pachmarhi from foreign forces. cm Mohan Yadav said, "Information related to the life, struggle, valor and contribution of raja Bhabhut Singh will be displayed in the sanctuary. This step will not only promote local pride but will also strengthen the identity of the sanctuary. It will become a symbol of the historical and natural importance of the area."

That's why the cabinet meeting was held in Pachmarhi

During this, he said that raja Bhabhut Singh has had a great influence on the tribal society. The stories of his bravery are still alive in the consciousness of the people. A meeting of the Council of Ministers has been organized in Pachmarhi to commemorate the contribution of raja Bhabhut Singh. This is an effort to bring the contribution of raja Bhabhut Singh in front of the society.

'Raja Bhabhut Singh was the main ally of Tatya Tope'

Remembering raja Bhabhut Singh, chief minister Mohan Yadav said that raja Bhabhut Singh was the main ally of freedom fighter Tatya Tope in the freedom struggle in 1857. Due to his guerilla warfare policy, Bhabhut Singh is called shivaji of Narmadachal. madras Infantry had to be called to capture raja Bhabhut Singh. raja Bhabhut Singh along with his army continued to fight armed battles with the british till 1860, the british kept getting defeated. The british were able to arrest raja Bhabhut Singh after two years and the british hanged him in 1860.

cm Mohan Yadav further said, "The valour and sacrifice of raja Bhabhut Singh has been kept alive by the Korku society through folk songs and hymns. His tales are still narrated in the villages, temples and folk culture of the Pachmarhi region. raja Bhabhut Singh was not only a warrior, but he has become a symbol of tribal consciousness and self-respect. The heroic saga of raja Bhabhut Singh is also recorded in the 1865 settlement report of british officer Elliot."
