A decision has been taken in the cabinet regarding this, now work will be started soon. vehicles coming to uttarakhand will no longer be able to escape Green Cess, ANPR cameras have been installed inside all the borders. If one camera escapes the eyes of another camera, the green cess will be deducted. This arrangement has been made for vehicles outside the state.

Let us tell you that now vehicles from other states entering the state border will not be able to escape Green Cess tax deduction. If one camera escapes, the other camera will do its job. Green Cess deducted once will remain valid for 24 hours. No matter how many times you come or go to the state in 24 hours, but your tax will be deducted only once for 24 hours.

The uttarakhand Transport Department is going to start the process of Green Cess deduction across the state by the end of this month. National Payment Corporation of india has signed an agreement with the agency selected for this. Now coordination is also being made with the vehicle portal. Joint Transport Commissioner Sanat Kumar Singh said that as soon as a vehicle from an outside state enters the border of uttarakhand, its green cess will be deducted with the help of a camera. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras have been installed on all borders.

Transport Commissioner SK Sanat told ABP Live that as soon as the vehicle comes in the sight of that camera, its green cess will be deducted from the Fastag account. If for some reason the vehicle escapes one camera, then the green cess will be deducted from the next camera. He also said that once the green cess is deducted, it will not be deducted again for 24 hours. In case of re-entry after 24 hours, green cess will be deducted.

Heavy vehicle-3 axle 450, Heavy vehicle- 4 to 6 axle 600, 7 axle or more 700, Medium and heavy goods vehicle (7.5-18.5 ton) 250, Light goods vehicle (3-7.5 ton) 120 Delivery van (up to 3 ton) 80, Heavy construction equipment vehicle 250, bus (more than 12 seats) 140, Motor cab, Maxi cab and Passenger car 80.
