
Hours after two people were killed and six others injured after several passengers fell off a transferring train in thane district in maharashtra on Monday, the railway board announced two tremendous selections.
"All rakes underneath production for mumbai Suburban could have automated doors nearer facilities. All rakes in service may be redesigned, and door closure facilities may be furnished in these rakes of mumbai Suburban," dilip Kumar, executive director (facts & exposure), stated.
After the incident at the Mumra station in thane, the primary railway, in an assertion, said that the passengers had fallen off the neighborhood train because of overcrowding. The education changed into traveling to CSMT station.
"The motive for the coincidence is assumed to be an excessive crowd on the train," the crucial railway said, adding that the police and railway administration have been on the spot.
Thane GRP's senior police inspector archana Dusane stated that when the passengers fell, a mail/express train was passing on the adjacent track. She stated that the police had obtained an alert, following which they rushed to the spot.
The government was alerted about the incident around 9:30 am by a defendant on a train traveling to Kasara, after injured passengers had been spotted at the scene.
The critical railway stated that nearby education services have been affected due to the incident, adding, "The injured are being taken right now to the nearest hospital. Research into the accident has begun."
