maharashtra chief minister devendra fadnavis on saturday (14 June) along with Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan handed over letter of Intent to 5 prestigious international universities for campus in maharashtra under the 'Mumbai Rising - Creating an international education City' project.

At the mumbai Rising program, chief minister devendra fadnavis said, "UGC has given letter of intent to five universities. Their campuses will be built in Maharashtra. These five universities are university of Aberdeen, university of York, Illinois Institute of Technology, university of Western australia and ID european Institute of Design. NEP under the leadership of PM Modi has opened the doors of knowledge in India." These universities received letter of Intent

cm devendra fadnavis also said during the program, "Today, first of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the prime minister of india, narendra Modi, for envisioning the new education policy for India. As rightly said, for the last 20 years, we have often heard that india will soon witness the presence of prestigious foreign universities providing world-class global education not only to indian students but also to students coming from all over the world. However, for a long time, it remained only a talk." The chief minister further said, "Today, when we are here handing over the letter of Intent (LoI) to five globally reputed universities, I would like to thank the government of india, minister Dharmendra Pradhan and UGC wholeheartedly for making this possible in the shortest time of one month. This is also a testimony to the remarkable speed and efficiency of the Modi government, as today all these universities are getting their LoIs."
