One of the most well-known actresses in South indian cinema, shruti haasan, has long been renowned for her audacity in both her on-screen persona and personal life.  She has been open about her cosmetic treatments over the years, something that many celebrities tend to hide.  Shruti has publicly talked about her decisions, from having her nose corrected to having fillers, highlighting that everyone has the right to feel free to make such modifications if they so desire.

Shruti Haasan discussed getting a nose operation in detail in a widely shared interview on Hauterrfly's talk show The Male Feminist.  She clarified that the alteration was not only cosmetic but also essential because her nose had been fractured in her early days in the field. She stated:

"I had my nose corrected, and it was really clear that I had done so.  My nose used to be broken and very different.  People say she's only using the deviated septum excuse after I made my first movie with my old nose.  Yes, my septum was deviated.  It was painful, but my face would be more attractive if I could.  Why wouldn't I?  It was that easy.  I don't feel the need to defend my desire to have a particular appearance.

Shruti also discussed the criticism she received for her use of facial fillers.  She boldly accepted it rather than denied it.  She clarified that it's a personal decision that doesn't require approval from others.  She clarified:

"It's my body. And those who want to do whatever they want to or don't want to, I don't condone it. I don't want people to say shruti sabko bol rahi hai jaake filler lagao. Nahi. Aapko karna hai karo. Nai karna hai nai karo. Mujhe bass apne kaam pe chodo."

She underlined how society frequently categorizes women and condemns them for not meeting conventional ideals of beauty.  People frequently remarked that she didn't resemble a "typical heroine," that her features were "too foreign," and that her "Indianness" was frequently questioned, according to Shruti.  Her brilliance was nonetheless acknowledged in spite of this.
