Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) founder Lalu prasad Yadav has once again been elected as the national president of the party. While there is an atmosphere of celebration in the RJD camp after his unopposed election in the party, opposition parties have started raising questions about it. Lok Janshakti party (Ram Vilas) mp Arun Bharti has described Lalu's re-election as an example of 'internal dictatorship'.
Arun Bharti issued a statement saying that just as Tejashwi Yadav repeatedly claims that there is internal democracy in his party, this example completely reflects internal dictatorship. When Lalu prasad Yadav filed for nomination for the post of president, no candidate came forward against him. This shows that there is an atmosphere of fear and pressure within the party, where even a senior leader cannot dare to speak openly.
The Lalu family has dominated the RJD for a long time. First Lalu Yadav, then his wife Rabri Devi and now Tejashwi Yadav, all have been in key roles. In such a situation, opposition parties are raising the question of whether RJD is limited to the family only.
Tejashwi's silence is also in discussion
Tejashwi Yadav has not given any special reaction on this election, but the party spokespersons have completely rejected the allegations of the opposition and said that the party is united in the name of Lalu Yadav and no one doubts his leadership ability.
After this incident, BJP and JDU including LJP have also become aggressive on RJD. Keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections, the opposition wants to tell the public by raising this issue that democracy in RJD is only in name, in reality, everything is limited to one family.
