The BRICS conference begins today in Brazil. In this, the member countries are going to insist on a change in the IMF leadership. The question arises as to what India's position is on this. The BRICS countries have recently been achieving rapid growth in both the economy and other matters. At one time, the G-7 conference received a lot of attention. But now BRICS has taken that place. Although BRICS is growing in terms of contribution to the global economy and scientific discoveries, the fact that the West is not recognizing this has caused dissatisfaction.

In this situation, very important decisions are going to be taken in the BRICS meeting to be held today. That is, there are chances that reforms should be made in the international Monetary Fund (IMF), in particular, the redistribution of voting rights and the end of the european leadership should be discussed and resolutions on it are likely to be passed. As for the IMF, people from europe have been appointed to its presidency for a long time. This continues to be an unwritten rule. In fact, the US and european countries are weaker than before. The BRICS countries are gaining momentum. In that case, the current question is why not appoint someone from Asia as the president.
Not only that, but BRICS also insists that people should be elected to the presidency based on merit. Similarly, the BRICS countries want to reform the quota system that defines the contributions and voting rights of member countries in the IMF. What position will india take on the decisions taken on this issue? The question is. Because india is currently turning to the US. The IMF is under the control of the US. That is why India's decision has created great expectations.

On the other hand, the Chinese and Russian presidents will not participate in this conference. It has been announced that the Chinese president recently replaced the BRICS leaders, and therefore this time, the Chinese prime minister will participate in the BRICS conference instead of him. Putin's story is different. The international court of Justice has issued an arrest warrant against him due to the war in Ukraine. He may be arrested if he enters countries that have accepted international courts. Brazil, where the BRICS conference is being held, has accepted the international court of Justice. It is noteworthy that this is why Putin has avoided coming to Brazil.
