During the parliament session on tuesday (July 29, 2025), congress leader priyanka gandhi Vadra recalled the time when former prime minister of the country Rajiv gandhi was assassinated and mentioned her mother's tears.

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in parliament on tuesday (July 29, 2025), priyanka gandhi Vadra mentioned the time when the country's former prime minister Rajiv gandhi was assassinated. priyanka gandhi Vadra said that tears fell from my mother's (Sonia Gandhi) eyes when her husband was martyred by terrorists when she was only 44 years old.

Priyanka gandhi Vadra further said that today I am standing in this parliament and debating only because I know their pain. Leadership of the country is not done by just taking credit; it is done by taking responsibility for both success and failure. Is it not the responsibility of the prime minister, home Minister, Defense Minister, and NSA to ensure the safety of the people?

'No matter how many operations you carry out, you can't hide from the truth'

Congress mp priyanka gandhi Vadra said, 'Most of the people sitting in this house today have security cover, but that day, 26 people were killed in front of their families in Pahalgam. All the people present in Baisaran Valley that day had no security. No matter how many operations you conduct, you cannot hide from the truth.'

Vows to protect everyone with vengeance

Priyanka gandhi Vadra attacked the government and said that this is not a crown of gold, but a crown of thorns. When the government is false and cowardly, it weakens even the bravest army. The country needs a pledge to protect everyone with vengeance, along with the power of the army, and it also needs the truth from the government.

Referring to former PM indira gandhi, Vadra said, 'Patriot martyr indira gandhi ji, who through successful diplomacy confronted the US President and divided pakistan, created bangladesh and forced many Pakistani soldiers to surrender, but she never took credit for it.

India's objective was not fulfilled

He further said that if the objective of Operation Sindoor was only to teach pakistan a lesson, then our objective is still incomplete because our diplomacy has failed. The proof of this is that a Pakistani general, whose hands were stained with blood, was having lunch sitting with the US President.

Gandhi said, 'If Operation Sindoor aimed to end terrorism, then this aim has been thwarted by pakistan being elected as the chairman of the United Nations Anti-Terrorism Committee. The ruling party talked about many aspects, but did not explain why and how the pahalgam terrorist attack happened?'
