It has been quite some time since there has been any activity from the side
of Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, the last Chief Minister of United Andhra
Pradesh. Most of them she has been staying in Bengaluru, where he
reportedly has some business interests.
Now the
latest update is that Kiran Kumar is in New Delhi and had just wrapped
up his one-on-one meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party’s national chief
Amit Shah. This has given rise to speculations that he may take plunge
into the BJP sooner or later.
The Samaikyandhra
party which he had launched lost its relevance and though he wanted to
join, it was reported that BJP leadership didn’t evince interest due to
its ongoing alliance with the TDP. Kiran played a crucial role during
the bifurcation process of United Andhra Pradesh.
BJP
didn’t wish to antagonise the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu even as
there has been no much charisma for Kiran in current politics. With BJP
sensing that the TDP may take an anti-NDA stand soon, the saffron party
is now roping in a big fish from Seema region!
