New Delhi sources have stated that Ramnath Kovind is the new one to occupy the exorbitant Rashtrapati Bhavan with 340 rooms spread across 2,00,000 sq ft. Kovind was nostalgic about his old house located in Kanpur where leaking roof, a muddy hut was the place he spent his childhood.
Sources have stated that the rains in Delhi in the wee hours of Friday, just before the vote counts, reminded him of his old house where he used to wait badly for the rains to stop as his muddy hut could not withstand the rain and would end up leaking. Kovind has assured that he will represent the poor and farmers of the country who sweat out for minimal necessities of life.
According to sources currently, Kovind is residing in residence 10, Akbar Road. Anoop Mishra, returning officer, handover the election certificate to Kovind this morning. Meanwhile, Kovind, who is from Kanpur Dehat, stated that his election is a message to the ones who honestly fulfill their duties.
