Karthigai Dheepam worshipped at mosque!! Religious harmony nurtured

In Avinashi, Coimbatore, Karthika dheepam(lights) worship happened in a Dargah(mosque). This mosque is located in Tirupur district in Avinashi joining Kannur road. It is not only a custom for all people in that area but also for Hindus, Muslims, and Christians in that place to go to the mosque and worship there. During the Karthigai festival, the people in those villages lit the lamps and worshiped for the whole week. people from all places come to Kannur mosque despite their religion, caste or any race to worship says Dargah Hazrat, Samsudin. They come in for request of marriage, blessing their child against diseases or jinx. They even come for their career success or advancement. During the karthigai festival, it is a custom of people of those areas to light the lamps.
               This mosque set an example for religious harmony and unity in diversity. Same like this, during the festival of Sandhana koodu Urus, all people irrespective of their religion come and worship the god. This shows how the people in those areas are narrow-minded and also coherent over it. This mosque remains a place of common worship for all.
