There are more than 300 religions in the world, but the most prominent religions are hinduism, christianity, islam, Buddhism, sikhism and Jainism. Talking about India, islam is considered the biggest religion after Hinduism. They have their own customs and culture, which is mandatory for every Muslim to follow. Talking about islamit is a monotheistic religion, in which Allah is considered the only god and Mohammad Saheb is considered his last prophet. Those who believe in islam must have heard about Shirk. Let us know why it is considered the biggest sin.

What is Shirk?

Shirk comes from an Arabic root wordwhich means sharing or distributing. If seen in religious context, it means sharing divine qualities or powers with Allah. In islam, Allah is considered the unique and true God. Shirk is considered a serious sin in Islam. Which means worshipping or believing in any other god other than Allah. Allah is the only true god among Muslims and there is no other god like him. It is said that doing shirk hinders attaining salvation in the afterlife, but if someone gives up this behavior and repents before death, then Allah forgives him.

Many Ulemas in islam believe that shirk is divided into three parts. Let us know about it and understand shirk in detail.

Shirk-e-Akbar

The first of these is Shirk-e-Akbar, which is considered to be the most serious type of shirk. It includes considering someone other than Allah as your deity. It includes idol worship, worship of any other god or asking for help from someone other than Allah.

Shirk-e-Asghar

This is a slightly less serious form of shirk, which includes doing something for show. Such as worshipping Allah or giving charity for show. This is also called shirk of show.

Shirk-e-Khafi

This is the most subtle form of shirk. It is related to hidden thoughts or intentions in the mind. It includes not worshipping Allah with a true heart, or giving more importance to the praise or honor of someone else.
