Two legends of the indian cricket team, virat kohli and rohit sharma, have retired from Test cricket. Both star batsmen had already left t20 International. Now the question is whether the category of central contract of both will be changed?
Let us tell you that recently bcci had released the list of central contracts. In this, virat kohli and rohit sharma were placed in the A+ category, but now both have retired from Tests. Both will play only ODIs. In such a situation, will bcci now cut the salary of both or not?
Update has come from BCCI
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has given a big update on the central contract category of Virat and Rohit. The bcci Secretary said that virat kohli and rohit sharma will remain in the A Plus category of bcci central contract. Now it is clear that there will be no reduction in the salary of both. Both will continue to get seven crore rupees annually from BCCI.
What is the rule for inclusion in the central contract?
For your information, let us tell you that bcci includes only those players in the central contract who have played at least 3 Tests, 8 ODIs or 10 t20 Internationals in a year. If a player does not play Tests, but plays ODIs and T20s, then he is included in the contract.
