Bharti airtel has bagged a deal worth around $2.5 billion for 5g telecom equipment.Indian telecom companies have been ordered to purchase telecom equipment only from companies certified by the central government as 'trusted sources' as 'trusted products' due to various doubts related to cyber security by Chinese telecom equipment manufacturers. Trusted Sources' lack of a 'trusted product' tag has left India's booming 5g services unmarketed. As a result, these two Chinese companies have laid off 90 percent of the employees assigned to their indian business.
