Two moments from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ have been altered to make them less graphic. Disney+ is the company's streaming service, featuring over 7,200 television episodes and 510 films to choose from. Subscribers have access to a wide range of programmes to keep them entertained, but with that variety comes the risk that some content on the platform deviates from Disney's usual family-friendly tone, which the company has been working to protect as it expands its content library to include shows like Netflix's Marvel cinematic universe and others acquired through the 20th Century Fox merger.

Although the majority of Disney+ subscribers appear unconcerned by the existence of violent shows on the service, certain members of the public have expressed reservations about Disney Plus's more mature programming. Complaints over the Marvel show Daredevil, for example, lead to the concept that Disney is connected with family-friendly material, and that by adding mature and R-rated content to the platform, the business is breaking users' confidence and damaging its image. Content limitations aren't uniform across all Disney+ subscribers; instead, they vary by area, as is the case with the miniseries Pam & Tommy, which is accessible on Disney+ in the UK although not in the US.
