Chennai Electric Bus..! 70 people traveling with full AC..!

Pollution is on the rise due to the large number of diesel buses operating in big cities like Chennai. Due to this, environmentalists are urging the use of electric buses instead of diesel buses in big cities. Electric buses are already operational in chennai as soon as they start operating in several cities, including Delhi.

With electric buses currently operating in Delhi, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Pune, the government of tamil Nadu is taking steps to run electric buses in chennai for the first time in tamil Nadu. It is noteworthy that there are currently more than 3000 buses operating in chennai and more than 30 lakh people are traveling by bus.

It has been decided to run electric buses in chennai following the instructions of the Department of Environment due to high pollution caused by high diesel buses.

Although the Road Transport Department has taken steps to purchase a total of 500 buses, the government of tamil Nadu has decided to purchase 100 buses in the first phase.

It is noteworthy that these buses will operate for 15 years. The electric buses, which can travel at speeds of up to 80 kmph, are fully air-conditioned, with a seating capacity of 35 and a total of 70 passengers, with special facilities for the disabled.

It has been announced that it will take about 2 hours to fully charge the electric buses, but at the same time charging stations will be set up at major places in chennai to charge for 10 to 30 minutes as required.

According to the tamil Nadu Transport Corporation and the electricity Board, the battery of these buses will be designed to run up to 250-300 km daily and will be equipped with a charging facility accordingly. It is noteworthy that the government of tamil Nadu has so far requested tenders for the purchase of 100 electric buses.
