The Union minister of State for Electronics and Information technology Rajiv chandrasekhar said about the ban on Chinese mobile phones and the sale of mobile phones made by Chinese mobile companies under 12,000 rupees in India. He said that the central government has no plan to ban it. He further said, 'Indian companies also have a role to play in the country's electronic ecosystem but at the same time it is pointless to exclude foreign mobile phones. He also said that the government has asked some Chinese mobile companies to increase exports from India. Asserting that the central government has no plans to ban the sale of mobile phones manufactured by Chinese companies below Rs 12,000, the minister also said that collaboration with industry body ICEA will be discussed to increase domestic production.He also said that the central government plans to achieve $300 billion in electronics manufacturing and $120 billion in exports by 2025-26. He said that the current indian manufacturing has increased to USD 76 billion and indian brands and indian tech entrepreneurs have a big role to play in the electronics supply chain. The minister said that the demand for increasing domestic production has increased and therefore necessary steps are being taken to increase production. And we need to intensify our exports even more,” he said. From his interview, it has been confirmed that the central government has no plans to ban Chinese mobiles below Rs 12,000.
