Cases filed as rules violated in Chennai

Air pollution in chennai due to bursting of crackers and violating the rules. Though there were rules and time to burst the crackers on diwali, people violated them and caused more air pollution. health Experts reported that the pollution levels have crossed the permissible levels and it was equal to each person smoking 45 cigarettes. This caused the police to file cases on people who violated them. Around 373 cases have been filed in Chennai. tamil Nadu government has issued a rule that only green crackers should be burst on diwali November 4th, 2021. The state should adhere to the rules and avoid joined bursting of crackers leading to pollution.

                        The government allowed the bursting of green crackers from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on diwali day. The government also recalled the supreme court order of making crackers from raw materials which have fewer chemicals comparatively. It is also said that the use of barium salt is banned in firecrackers. They asked the public to stick to the timings in bursting crackers and should also avoid in Silent zones like hospitals, schools, courts, and fire-prone areas. But, many people didn't follow the rules, and more than 300 cases are registered in chennai and action is to be taken soon.
