Unfortunately, none of these factors are consistent with the data.What does this show? According to Hanson, this means that "an element is missing from our understanding of the sun." The discovery of new waves has added to the mystery of the sun. Hanson believes that the combination of magnetism, gravity, and contraction creates these waves. By comparing HFRs with similar waves called raspy waves in the Earth's ocean, scientists can find new information about these waves in the future.
