The supreme court seemed strict towards the leader of Opposition in lok sabha and congress MP rahul Gandhi. On rahul Gandhi's controversial statement on freedom fighter Veer Savarkar, the apex court said that irresponsible comments on the freedom fighters of the country will not be accepted. Now the reaction of maharashtra Chief minister and senior bjp leader devendra fadnavis has come to the fore regarding this. He has expressed his gratitude to the supreme court for this.

CM devendra fadnavis said, today the supreme court has given a resounding slap to rahul gandhi, who insulted freedom fighter Veer Savarkar ji, I express my gratitude to the supreme court for this. Because rahul gandhi has been continuously insulting the freedom fighters and heroes and the country is very hurt by the language he has used.

'Will stop making statements on Veer Savarkar'

He further said, "I expect that rahul gandhi, who roams around with the red Constitution, will now follow the order of the supreme court and stop saying all sorts of nonsense against Veer Savarkar."

The court warned

Let us tell you that on friday (April 25), a bench headed by Justice Dipankar Dutta said that rahul gandhi cannot make such statements without understanding history. The court warned, "If such comments are made again in the future, the supreme court will take suo motu cognizance and hear the matter."

'Indira gandhi had also written a letter'                                               

The court further said, "How can you say this about those who gave us independence? Tomorrow will you say something about mahatma gandhi also, because he wrote 'Faithful Servant' for Savarkar?" The supreme court said that mahatma gandhi had respected Savarkar and rahul Gandhi's grandmother, former prime minister Indira gandhi had also written a letter to him.
