Mumbai's RCF police has exposed a gang that had turned a farm house into a drug manufacturing factory. This gang had rented two rooms of the farm house from the farm house owner at the rate of Rs 1 lakh (50 thousand per room) per month in the name of raising goats and chickens, where a complete setup was made to make MD drugs. Mahesh Patil, Additional Commissioner of east Region of mumbai police, said that in march this year, RCF police had seized 45 grams of MD and registered a case and arrested a person, when the investigation of the case progressed, police arrested 4 more drug peddlers from mumbai and Navi mumbai and recovered 6 kg 689 grams of MD drugs from them, the price of which is said to be Rs 13 crore 37 lakh 60 thousand in the international market.
Mahesh Patil further said that when the investigation progressed, we came to know that the accused were running a drug factory in a farm house in Karjat in Raigad district. After this, DCP Navnath Dhawale formed a special team under the leadership of Senior Inspector Mahadev Kumbhar, PI Samsher Tadvi, API Maitranand Khandare and PSI Sushant Salvi and then the team raided the Savli Farm house located in Kikvi area of Karjat where the accused had set up a factory to make MD drugs.
The Additional Commissioner further said that a person was arrested from the factory and during the raid, 5 kg 525 grams of MD drugs were recovered from there along with the material for making drugs. The police further said that the raw material found during the raid is worth about one crore rupees and if drugs are made from it, then at least 150 kg of MD drugs can be made, which would cost around Rs 300 crore in the international market.
Patil further said that the accused had taken the farm house in the name of goat rearing and the smell of goat's faeces suppresses the smell of chemicals coming out of the MD factory to some extent, due to which people are not able to know that there is a MD manufacturing factory here. Sources further said that the accused were making drugs in this farm house for the last 3 months. During interrogation, the accused told that they used to make 25 kg of drugs in a week, according to this, in 3 months they would have made around 300 kg of drugs, which is worth about Rs 600 crore. The police is investigating the case as to where such a huge amount of drugs would have gone and how many people are there in this gang. Apart from this, the police is also investigating the money trail of the money earned through these drugs.
