Ansuman, a Navi mumbai student, swam the Bagh Strait between india and sri lanka today between Dhanushkodi and Talaimannar in under 10 hours. Ansuman (16), the son of Chandip Jingran and Kiran, is in the 11th grade at a private school in Navi mumbai, Maharashtra. He has competed in swimming contests at the state and national levels. He had asked the indian Ministry of External Affairs, the Sri Lankan Embassy, and the Ministry of Defense for permission to swim from Dhanushkodi in india to Dhanushkodi in sri lanka across the Bagh Strait.

He travelled to sri lanka with his father Jingran, instructors Gokul Kamath and amit Awale, with the approval of both india and Sri Lanka. Ansuman began swimming at 05:15 a.m. on tuesday and arrived to Dhanushkodi Arichal Point at 03.04 p.m. (9:49 p.m.) on tuesday afternoon. Vijay Kumar, Observer, tamil Nadu sports Development Authority, confirmed this feat.

On behalf of muthoot Finance, an appreciation event for Ansuman was arranged on tuesday evening at a luxury hotel near Rameswaram railway station. "I am glad to have fulfilled my task of crossing the Bagh Strait," master Ansuman Jingran stated of Ansuman's achievement. "In the next three years, we have to swim in seven seas and set a record," he stated.
