Maruti Suzuki Swift has entered its fourth generation, it was recently unveiled at the japan Mobility Show, in which a lot of updated design has been seen. It carries forward attractive proportions, sporty appeal, and youth design. The car was recently unveiled at the 2023 japan Motor Show and was recently spotted testing in india for the first time.

Design update

Present in the market for almost two decades, the design of Swift is inspired by the mini Cooper, and due to smart interior packaging and excellent ride and handling, this car became an instant hit in the market. All these features are likely to be available in the fourth generation model also. Like the third generation model, there will be no 2-door short wheelbase version of the fourth generation Swift for global models. For the first time, the testing model of the fourth-generation maruti Suzuki Swift has been spotted on the roads in India. This test mule features all the changes that we initially saw on the new Swift at the tokyo Motor Show. At the front, new elements include a clamshell bonnet that gives a clean look, a new front fascia with an angry grille, and a sportier bumper.

Look

It has new LED headlights with an LED DRL pattern. There is a silver element in the lower bumper of this model, which maruti is calling a faux skid plate. In the profile, there are not many changes except for the C-pillars, new wheels, and door handles. Overall its silhouette looks similar to the third-generation Swift. Changes to the rear section include new LED taillights, a tailgate, and a sportier rear bumper.

Interior updates

Swift has always been a popular car and it has had Maruti's popular interior packaging efforts in the past as well. As a fourth-generation model, the Swift remains similar to the current model with only a few updates. In which a newly designed dashboard and center console have been given. Also, the center AC vent and dashboard layering are new. The toggle-style auto climate control panel has now been removed from the Swift, and the old circular dials have been replaced with integrated displays, which look quite sporty.

Key changes include its free-standing 9-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android auto and apple CarPlay. The India-spec Swift may miss out on the Baleno's HUD along with the brownie points for its premium hatchback. The new 3-cylinder Z-series 1.2L NA petrol engine with 48V self-charging hybrid (strong hybrid) will be available in this fourth-generation Swift. With this engine, it is likely to get a mileage of up to 40 km/liter. It is likely to be launched in the first half of 2024. After launch, it will compete with hyundai i20 and Tata Tiago.
