The Federal Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced an increase in the minimum and maximum fares for domestic flights. And now, Airfares have increased from 9.83 percent to 12.82 percent. After a two-month curfew, the federal government has raised the minimum and maximum fares of similar flights on May 25th, and now yet again they have raised them in just a span of the next two months. 


The minimum fare increase is intended to benefit airlines that are struggling financially, and the maximum fare increase is a measure of not increasing fares above a certain level when demand for air travel increases. As of now, the minimum fare for a 40-minute journey has been increased from Rs.2,600 to Rs.2,900 and the maximum increase was 12.82% to Rs.8,800. 


The minimum fare for travel time between 40 minutes and 60 minutes has been increased from Rs.3,300 to Rs.3,700 and the maximum travel fare has been increased by 12.34% to Rs.11,000. The minimum fare for 60 minutes to 90 minutes has been increased from Rs.4,500 to a maximum of 12.82 percent to Rs.13,200. In addition to these, the passengers will be charged separately for security fees, airport user fees, GST tax, etc.
