A bus carrying tourists has caught fire, killing at least 45 people, including 12 children.


The incident took place in western Bulgaria.


A tourist bus from northern macedonia was returning from turkey via Bulgaria.


At that time, a total of 52 tourists from northern macedonia were traveling in the tourist bus.

According to the report, the bus, which was traveling through the night, crashed at around 2 am today while passing through the village of Bosniak in the southwest of the country's capital, Sofia.


The bus involved in the accident is still on fire. When the bus caught fire, it was early in the morning and all the passengers on the bus were sound asleep.


Thus, no passenger could wake up so easily. Then, as the bus started to catch fire all over at the speed of the fire, everyone who was asleep woke up screaming and throbbing. 

As a result, a total of 45 people, including 12 children who were sleeping on the bus, were trapped in the fire and died.


Also, only 7 people from this bus survived burns and were admitted to the hospital there.


Video footage of the crash has caused a stir in the country's media.

In that video, there are scenes of a bus burning on the road. 

Bulgarian officials involved in the rescue operation said, It is not clear whether the bus caught fire or caught fire after the accident. We have registered a case and are actively investigating.


In particular, police said, 7 of the survivors of the crash broke the windows of the bus and jumped out. The accident has caused great shock and sadness in the country.
